This license qualifies a person to: Install a power boiler with a capacity of not more than 5000 lb/hr. Install or replace non-boiler external piping as defined by ASME B31.1 Perform work covered by a class 2B license
Exam Information:
The examinations are OPEN BOOK using only the materials detailed in the “body of knowledge”. All reference materials must be bound. The materials printed from a website may be bound by 3 staples on the left edge in separate documents or placed in a 3 ring binder.
Candidates are responsible for bringing their own references to the examination center. Reference materials may be highlighted and may have indexing or tabbing. Writing is not acceptable in any reference material. Any candidate caught writing, highlighting, underlining and/or indexing in the references during the examination will be reported to the BCC. Furthermore, candidates are not permitted to bring in any additional papers (loose or attached) with their approved references.
The exam is 50 questions over 180 minutes, with a minimum required passing score of 70%.
