7 hours of board-approved continuing education are required each 2-year period prior to the renewal of certified and registered alarm contractors. The continuing education must include 1 hour on technical subjects (to include 1 hour of FBC advanced module course), 1 hour on workers' compensation, 1 hour on workplace safety, 1 hour on business practices, 1 hour of laws and rules, and 2 hours on false alarm prevention.
